Robert Downey Jr. raises this superhero film to above average of its kind. The film has more substance than you might expect and an old fashioned feel. The above average cast includes the return of stalwarts such as Jeff Bridges and Gwyneth Paltrow who apparently couldn't refuse the fat paycheck that a blockbuster brings.
