Away From Her
Actress Sarah Polley (The Sweet Hereafter, My Life Without Me) turned writer and director for this solid film about the devastating consequences of Alzheimer's disease that comes between a couple. The magnificent Julie Christie continues to dazzle and proves that she's still a great actress who elevates this film to greater heights because of her presence and makes everybody else look good. Gordon Pinsent and Olympia Dukakis are also great in their roles as the husband and the wife of another patient. YRCinema's coverage of films on DVD.
