Argentinian writer and director Lucrecia Martel's meticulous film about a mother and daughter who fall for a doctor who stays at their hotel. Martel builds an interesting structure where her characters fall in orbit of their destiny with devastating consequences. At the core of the story is the 16-year-old Amalia who's dealing with her sexuality.
