French writer and director Marina de Van bends minds with this psychological thriller. A writer undergoes physical and psychological transformations which causes her to reevaluate her life that includes a secret in her childhood. De Van takes the audience inside the head of her character where they can witness the changes that the people around her dismiss. Sophie Marceau and Monica Bellucci portray the different aspects of the same character. What starts of as a confusing tale makes sense at the end, at least cinematically if not logically.
