The Boy in the Striped Pajamas

British writer and director Mark Herman adapted the novel John Boyne that explores an unlikely friendship between two boys during the second world war. The son of a concentration camp commandant befriends a Jewish boy that changes his world views and leads to unexpected consequences. While the story is purely fictional that couldn't have happened in reality, Herman and his team successfully adapt the story that explores innocence in the face of evil.
