Filipino director Brillante Mendoza's film traces a family running a run-down adult cinema where they also live. At the center is the matriarch who's seeking to divorce her philandering husband while her children and employees dealing with their own problems. While the story lacks an emotional core, it shows a slice of life in the Philippines. Gina PareƱo is perfect as Nanay Flor in a under-written role. YRCinema's coverage of films on DVD.
