Independent Thai writer and director Apichatpong Weerasethakul made his feature debut with contemplative and experimental film about ordinary people as they seek love and peace in a day. A female factory worker is in love with a Burmese refugee and tries to get him work permit through her friend. Weerasethakul introduces the forest motive that he explores in all of his feature films.
