Cave of Forgotten Dreams
German director Werner Herzog delivers another dazzling documentary about the famous Chauvet Caves which has the oldest cave paintings in the world. Herzog got a rare access into the caves to show the absolutely dazzling paintings that dates up to 40,000 years which has to be seen to believed. It's also Herzog's first foray in 3D which allows the viewer to experience the paintings the closest as in the cave through the 3D technology since the paintings are not on even surface. Herzog gives insight through his own narration and lively comments from the selected experts about the power of arts and culture to the human existence. YRCinema's coverage of the AFI Fest.
