The Green Room
French writer and director François Truffaut made this unusual but atmospheric film about a man's obsession. A young journalist haunted by a traumatic past finds solace with the memory of his death wife. Based on two short stories by Henry James, Truffaut also stars in this character study of a man dealing with death and grief in quiet and touching way. The supporting cast includes Nathalie Baye while Truffaut's frequent collaborator Néstor Almendros gives the film its haunting look. 1001 Films' coverage of films on DVD.
