Jodorowsky's Dune
Director Frank Pavich brought the story behind one of the greatest films never made in this terrific documentary. Chilean cult director, Alejandro Jodorowsky's ambitious attempt to adapt Frank Herbert's Dune attracted some major talents like Orson Welles, Salvador Dali, Pink Floyd and H.R. Giger amongst others only to never get made which proves a great loss for cinema. Jodorowsky, Giger and others recount the time and stories behind the doomed production to show a glimpse of what the film could have been. Pavich's homage to Jodorowsky and his projects makes this documentary a must for lovers of cinema. 1001 Films' coverage of films on DVD.
