Dersu Uzala
The ever versatile master Akira Kurosawa made another masterpiece of staggering simplicity and beauty in the fourth decade of his illustrious career. The story about Asiatic hunter who befriends a Russian explorer in the remote wilderness of Siberia. It's one of the most profound films about human beings and friendship in the history of cinema. Two very different man, one civilized and the other considered primitive bond as they face and survive nature. It's pure Kurosawa and cinema at its best. YRCinem's coverage of films on DVD.
