Linha de Passe
Walter Salles returns to Brazil for this film that he co-directed with Daniela Thomas. It's a solid drama about a mother and her four sons and their struggle in Sao Paulo. It's a small budget film and seems more tame than the Brazil we have seen in the "City of God" and "Manda Bala". The story is universal and could happen anywhere. The film also reunites Salles with his actor Vinícius de Oliveira from "Central Station." YRCinema's coverage of the Cannes Film Festival.
