Writer Matthew Chapman returned to directing after a long absence with this thriller. A young man on the ledge of a high rise reflects on his life with a married woman while the police officer tries to decipher his motives. While Chapman has the right intentions to use the thriller device to reflect on themes of love, adultery and religion amongst others, he only succeeds partially in his ambitious attempt. While the talented cast is more than capable for the material, the casting of some of the key characters are questionable.
