Swedish director Tomas Alfredson follows his breakthrough film "Let the Right One In" with another terrific film that marks his English debut. Based on the classic novel by John le Carré, a veteran spy is forced out of his retirement to expose a Russian mole in the highest echelon of the British secret service. Brilliantly written and directed with terrific performances. Alfredson and his team not only recreated the 70's but also the atmosphere that makes for a impeccable period thriller in the tone and style of the era which is quite a remarkable achievement.
