Writer and director Adrian Grunberg made his feature debut with action comedy. A criminal escapes to Mexico where he finds himself in prison and tries to survive it with the help of a young boy. Grunberg made a vibrant action film with plenty of Mexican flavor as seen through the American perspective along with familiar cliches. Disgraced star Mel Gibson returns to his signature performance that made him famous which would have been a blockbuster a decade ago.
