My Piece of the Pie

French writer and director Cédric Klapisch returned with a social satire that succeeds before it falls apart in the final act. After loosing her factory job, a single mother is forced to become an housekeeper to the man responsible for the closure of the factory. Klapisch takes his usual signature of slice of French life and gives it social and political context which gets him in troubled waters that ultimately derails the film.
