Japanese superstar, writer and director Takeshi Kitano delivered another violent and action packed film about the Japanese mafia, the yakuza. An improper connection between two families starts a violent war that reaches the upper echelons of the yakuza. Kitano delivers the goods after setting the story nicely up with plenty of action sequences and body count that's not for the squeamish. Takeshi Kitano best known as Beat Takeshi also stars with a solid performance as the nonsense lieutenant responsible for the war. 1001 Films' coverage of films on DVD.
