Director Henry Alex Rubin made his narrative feature debut with this cautionary tale about the human disconnect in the Internet age. The internet causes harm to several people, a couple have their savings stolen, a young boy bullied to suicide and teenagers lured to cyber pornography. Rubin and writer Andrew Stern opt to show negative side of modern technology on how it can disconnect people but humans had those issues long before the arrival of the internet so the film is hardly relevant but makes for an entertaining thriller. The solid cast features Jason Bateman, Hope Davis, Frank Grillo, Michael Nyqvist, Paula Patton, Andrea Riseborough and Alexander Skarsgård amongst others. 1001 Films' coverage of films on DVD.
