A childless couple become unexpected the parents of an unusual boy who brings some magic into their lives and to those around them. Peter Hedges makes feel good films that will please its target audience which he delivers with this family friendly film. Jennifer Garner and Joel Edgerton are perfectly cast in the leads but the film belongs to youngster CJ Adams in the title role. The fine supporting cast includes M. Emmet Walsh, Dianne Wiest, Rosemarie DeWitt and Shohreh Aghdashloo amongst others.
