Taking Woodstock

The ever versatile Ang Lee brings the magic of Woodstock alive in this unpretentious film that gives you a glimpse behind a historic event that changed a generation and inspired many others. Based on the book of Elliot Tiber on how everything happened in his backyard. With a lot of heart and humor Lee draws and seduces you just like the people were at the concert. An excellent ensemble cast and ace crew recreate a bygone era. Imelda Staunton and Liev Schreiber steal every scene they are in with their outstanding performances that are among the highlights of this comedy. YRCinema's coverage of the 62nd Festival de Cannes.
