Penelope

Director Mark Palansky made his feature debut with this modern day fairy tale co-produced by Reese Witherspoon who's also featured in a supporting role. The story of a girl who's cursed with a pig-nose until she finds true love. It's a charming coming of age tale that allows Christina Ricci to shine with the support of the talented James McAvoy and Witherspoon. Palansky tries his best for his ambitious debut but he's not Tim Burton to deliver a knockout. YRCinema's coverage of films on DVD.
