Swedish writer and director Lisa Aschan made her feature debut with this uneven but original coming of age drama. A teenager joins an equestrian team where she experiences friendship and sexual awakening which leads to betrayal and understanding. Ashan focuses on the female perspective which is rarely shown and brings insight to the female psyche where emotion and control are at odds with each other. Newcomers Mathilda Paradeiser and Linda Molin star with compelling performances. 1001 Films' coverage of films on DVD.
