Chinese writer and director Jia Zhangke delivered another masterpiece with this terrific drama. Four ordinary people use random acts of violence to revolt against the modern society that cost them their dignity and humanity. Zhangke who always captured the changes of contemporary China in his films and documentaries without shying away remains one of the most important directors.
