After an horrific incident, two children are stranded in the Australian outback which leads them to a journey to nature with an Aborigine boy on a ritualistic separation from his tribe called "walkabout". Roeg's masterful cinematography and direction puts the primitive on the same level as the sophisticated which tells volumes without preaching the obvious.
