Writer and director Lucy Mulloy made her feature debut with this riveting drama. Three Cuban teenagers' lives are intertwined in the streets of Havana where they face sexual awakening, dreams of a better life while hustling their way until one of them gets in trouble and forces them of crossing the ocean with tragic consequences. Mulloy created a powerful film that shows a vibrant Havana with all its glory and flaws with fully developed characters despite minor flaws in the plot. The cast of mostly non-professional actors is terrific, specially the three leads which includes Dariel Arrechaga, Anailín de la Rúa de la Torre and Javier Núñez Florián. 1001 Films' coverage of films on DVD.
