Simon Killer

Writer and director Antonio Campos returned with another dark character study about a lost soul. A young man in Paris, escaping a painful past doesn't find much of light which gets him further lost in the darkness. Campos anti-romantic approach to its characters and location makes for an interesting choice which is more a European than American film. Brady Corbet stars with a solid performance along with Mati Diop. Co-written with his leads, Corbet and Diop, Campos shows a more accurate if darker story about the two people lost in the city of lights of all places in the world. 1001 Films' coverage of films on DVD.
