Contraband
Icelandic writer and director Baltasar Kormákur took charge of the Hollywood remake of his own film "Reykjavik-Rotterdam" with a bigger budget and stars. A former smuggler is forced back on a dangerous mission to settle a debt that could puts him and his family in danger. While the story remains mostly the same, it doesn't survive the make over to the US setting with one major flaw that derails the film. Mark Wahlberg and Kate Beckinsale star along with Giovanni Ribisi, Lukas Haas and Ben Foster. 1001 Films' coverage of films on DVD.
