Savages

Director Oliver Stone returns with another crime drama that proves he's past his prime. Two Californian drug dealers find themselves targeted by a Mexican drug cartel when their girlfriend is kidnapped. Unfortunately there's nothing new about the story and the film that hasn't been already explored in better films despite a talented cast. Newcomers Taylor Kitsch and Aaron Taylor-Johnson star along with Blake Lively in the leads while veterans Benicio del Toro, John Travolta and Salma Hayek appear in the supporting roles. 1001 Films' coverage o films on DVD.
