Italian writer and director Alice Rohrwacher returns with her second feature which is semi-autobiographical. A family of bee keepers try to keep their way of life which threatened by new regulations and a reality TV which the eldest daughter wants to be part of. Rohrwacher delivers an honest film about real character without romanticizing or stylizing it which is another refreshing voice in Italian cinema. The solid cast included newcomer Maria Alexandra Lungu, Sam Louwyck, Monica Bellucci and the director's actress sister Alba in a supporting role. 1001 Films' coverage of the 67th Festival de Cannes.
