Femme Fatale

Director Brian De Palma returned to what he knows best with this thriller with plenty of style and little substance that pays homage to masters Billy Wilder and Alfred Hitchcock who defined the genre. After an elaborate heist in France, a female con betrays her team and finds a perfect getaway to the US but her past catches up with her when she returns many years later. There's no story or point to this film but pure entertainment that should please its demographic. Rebecca Romijn and Antonio Banderas are hired for their looks more than their talents which fits the style of the film. 1001 Films' coverage of films on DVD.
