Salmon Fishing in the Yemen

Swedish director Lasse Hallström delivered his best film in more than a decade with this charming romantic comedy. A fisheries expert and a consultant fall in love when he's forced to help her and her wealthy and eccentric Arab client to introduce Salmon in the Yemen. Hallström and British writer Simon Beaufoy successfully adapted the novel by Paul Torday which is further enhanced by the performances of its stellar cast that includes Ewan McGregor, Emily Blunt and Kristin Scott Thomas. The underrated McGregor always delivers superb and nuanced performances who's perfectly matched by Blunt who shines in her own right. 1001 Films' coverage of films on DVD.
