Tout Va Bien
Legendary French writer and director Jean-Luc Godard took a stab at cinema and himself with this political film. An American journalist and her French filmmaker husband are taken hostage at a meat factory where the workers take a stand against the authorities. Godard doesn't shy away to use every tool possible to get across his political message even if he has to deconstruct his take on cinema or use movie stars. Politically active Jane Fonda and Yves Montand don't seem to mind for being used by Godard. 1001 Films' coverage of films on DVD.
