Chandor gives a clear account that lead to the financial crisis with a smart and compelling film that makes a complicated situations accessible for everybody. Chandor's personal experience on Wall Street where his father worked for decades allowed him to create fully developed characters without judging them which makes for a promising debut. The stellar cast includes Kevin Spacey, Paul Bettany, Jeremy Irons.
