Wild at Heart

David Lynch wrote and directed this nightmarish film which was the follow up to his masterpiece "Blue Velvet." The story of two lovers on the run from the evil mother of the girl who has unleashed several killers to kill her boyfriend. As with most of Lynch's films, it's not about the story but his unique vision which is unlike any other. Lynch goes over-the-top with the style in this film in every aspect that's surprising and shocking at the same time. Unlike "Blue Velvet," the film doesn't hold up with time and has lost much of its initial allure. YRCinema's coverage of films on DVD.
