Killing Bono

Irish director Nick Hamm brings the story of former classmates of U2 and their struggle to achieve stardom.  The story of two brothers and aspiring musicians who miss a chance to become part of a band that becomes later U2 which causes them a lifelong of missed opportunities. Based on the book by Neil McCormick, this comedy has a bitter taste since it focuses on a loser who's arrogance and betrayal prevents his brother's potential to a great career which is heartbreaking. The scenes with U2 founder Bono who tries several times to reach over to the brothers are the best in the film which gives perspective to the story. Ben Barnes stars along with Robert Sheehan, Martin McCann and Krysten Ritter. 1001 Films' coverage of films on DVD.
