Goodbye First Love
French writer and director Mia Hansen-Løve delivered her third feature with this drama about the profound impact of first love. A teenager finds her first love with an older boy which leaves her profoundly changed when he abandons her to travels abroad. While first love has been explored heavily in French Cinema, Hansen-Løve shows a darker side which shows the dramatic impact at a tender age which leaves long-lasting deep scares. Lola Créton and Sebastian Urzendowsky star with solid performances along with Valérie Bonneton and Magne-Håvard Brekke. 1001 Films' coverage of films on DVD.
