Who the #$&% Is Jackson Pollock?

Writer and director Harry Moses made his feature debut with this fascinating documentary about the journey of authenticating an art work by Jackson Pollock. After a female truck driver bought an artwork for $5, she started a journey that it could be a lost Pollock work but despite the scientific evidence, the experts refused to authenticating as an original much to the dilemma of the owner who refuses to sell it despite several offers in the millions. Moses points several interesting aspects of art world where provenance and acceptance by experts can separate the value of an art work. It's a fascinating film for both insiders and outsiders of art. 1001 Films' coverage of films on DVD.
