Tiny Furniture

Writer and director Lena Dunham also stars in this awkward comedy/drama that parallels her life. A young woman has a hard time to adjust to life after returning home from college. Dunham's brave use of her personal life gives credibility to her character including the casting of her family and friends which proves to be a double edged. While the performances are not bad, they are reserved and awkward to say the least, specially the scenes between her mother and sister. The cinematography by Jody Lee Lipes saves the extremely low budget film on a technical level. 1001 Films' coverage of films on DVD.
