The Amazing Spider-Man

Director Marc Webb went for his sophomore effort to reboot the Spider-Man franchise. The origin story of Peter Parker who after a traumatic childhood becomes a Superhero to save the world. Webb paid attention to the other Superhero franchises, specially Sam Raimi and improved upon his version with a solid cast and much improved special effects. A perfectly cast Andrew Garfield stars along with Emma Stone, Rhys Ifans and Sally Field amongst others. Raimi's "Spider-Man 2" remains the best film of the series that Webb may or not be able to top. 1001 Films' coverage of films on DVD.
