Wrath of the Titans

South African director Jonathan Liebesman delivered an even worse sequel to the remake of a classic. Greek half-god Perseus refuses his father, Zeus' plea for help, only to try to save him when he's imprisoned in the underworld by his brother and uncle Hades. Despite four credited writers who failed to deliver a decent script, Liebesman and his cast & crew went ahead to work a mediocre film which is quite a shame given the richness of Greek mythology. Sam Worthington returns with another bland performance along with Liam Neeson and Ralph Fiennes who reprise their roles as Zeus and Hades. Bill Nighy, Édgar Ramírez and Rosamund Pike are the new additions to the cast. 1001 Films' coverage of films on DVD.
