British writer and director Neil Marshall returns with another original thriller set in the first century A.D. as the Roman Empire tries to tame the British island ruled by the Picts. A Roman soldier barely escapes the Picts as he's sent out again with a new army with an enigmatic woman as their guide. A fight of survival starts again when the Romans are betrayed and a vicious tracker with supernatural powers chase the remaining soldiers across the rough territories. Michael Fassbender and Olga Kurylenko star in this period action thriller as the hunted and hunter where the traditional roles of the sexes are reversed in a refreshing fashion.
