The Man Who Will Come
It seems that the World War II is an inexhaustible source for films that make it to the big screen. While not entirely original, it's nevertheless a compelling and tragic tale of villagers paying a high price by being caught in between the German forces and the Partisans who fought a bitter war. Italian writer and director Giorgio Diritti tells the story through the eyes of a little girl who witnesses her family and friends killed while she barely manages to save her infant brother which the titles refers to. The setting of the story was also used in the recent Spike Lee film "The Miracle of St. Anna," however before the Americans reached the region.
