Legendary director John Huston united two legendary actors for this bizarre melodrama. Set on an Army base, a repressed homosexual major and his promiscuous wife are entangled in two different love triangles that leads to murder. Based on a novel by Carson McCullers, Huston got a stellar cast in Marlon Brando, Elizabeth Taylor, Julie Harris and Brian Keith who were drawn to the dark and twisted world of McCullers that provides them with memorable characters.
