Director Steven Soderbergh apparently made his last film with this drama which took a long winding road to get made, ending up on HBO. The relationship between celebrity pianist Liberace and his young lover, Scott Thorson is explored. Soderbergh and his terrific cast and crew manage to bring the colorful and over-the-top life of Liberace to live that rises above the usual made for TV dramas. Michael Douglas and Matt Damon star with fearless performances that makes this film worth watching.
