British director Yann Demange and writer Gregory Burke made their feature debut with riveting thriller. A newly recruited British soldier find himself abandoned behind enemy lines in Northern Ireland and has to rely on his surviving skills and unlikely allies to survive while the IRA and corrupt undercover agents are after him. Set during the height of the Northern Ireland conflict, Demange has a crafted an utterly original film with this breathtaking thriller that doesn't shy away from the political truth as well which quite an accomplishment. Jack O'Connoll stars with terrific performance that's physically and psychologically demanding. The fine supporting cast includes Sean Harris amongst others. 1001 Films' coverage of the 67th Festival de Cannes.
