The aftermath of a couple's life whose relationship was torn apart by a tragedy as they try to move on with their lives. Benson who initially made two films to show the story from the perspective of the couple, his and her, made a third version which combines the two and makes for a more conventional film but the story remains the same. Jessica Chastain and James McAvoy star with outstanding performances along a stellar supporting cast that includes Isabelle Huppert, William Hurt, Ciar├ín Hinds and Viola Davis amongst others. 1001 Films' coverage of the 67th Festival de Cannes.
