New Zealander Lee Tamahori brings the incredible story of Latif Yahia to screen in this surreal thriller. Yahia was forced to become the double for Uday Hussein and witness how he terrorized everybody around him. It's a bizarre film which brings to mind De Palma's "Scarface" to mind. British actor Dominic Cooper is riveting in a double role and along with French actress Ludivine Sagnier are the only non-Arab actors in the film. There's plenty of violence and gore in the film as expected in the portrait of a notorious psychopath. 1001-Films coverage of the 64th Festival de Cannes.
