Romanian writer and director Radu Mihaileanu delivers a well intentioned but misguided film with this political fable. The women in a fictional village go on a sex strike in order to force their men to fetch water from the source which starts a battle of sexes. Mihaileanu's fable set outside his own culture has several problems despite an earnest ambition for peace and understanding.
