Italian writer and director Paolo Sorrentino makes his first English language film with this coming of age road movie. After the death of his estranged father, a faded pop star returns to the US and continues his father's search for Nazi war criminal. Sorrentino delivers an offbeat drama that's unique and full of wonders with heart and humor. Sean Penn channels The Cure's Robert Smith in another terrific performance with a splendid support cast that includes Frances McDormand and Judd Hirsch.
