Indian writer and director Kiran Rao made her feature debut with this ensemble drama. A young Indian-American woman discovers the different sides of Mumbai through two different men, a elusive artist and a laundry boy. Rao gives a glimpse of India's largest city through four main characters without the Bollywood treatment which is refreshing for a change. Rao's husband and Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan gets to play one of the characters while Monica Dogra, Prateik Babbar and Kriti Malhotra play the others. YRCinema's coverage of films on DVD.
